This symposium is being held to introduce a wide range of people to the international standardization activities and research activities for Body Area Network (BAN) wireless technology that are the result of promotion efforts from the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in cooperation with industry.
Furthermore, our goals are to disseminate this platform for a standard wireless technology so that all will be able to receive reliable healthcare service, meaningful exchange of opinions with domestic and international academic and private institutions take place, even more effort to make BAN a device which will be practical in various fields materialize, and finally, plans to deploy BAN on the international stage begin.
