We advance the research and deveolpment of the new approaches to innovate science in the fields of optics, quantum engineering, nano-technology, and bio-technology, and apply them to information and communications technologies in the future.
We do this by applying nano-fabrication techniques to advanced photo-electronic functional materials, such as organic electro-optic materials as well as superconducting materials.
We are investigating communications technology of the future, so-called quantum info-communications, which directly controls the quantum mechanical properties of photons and electrons.
The DUV ICT Device Advanced Development Center is advancing the research and development of unprecedented deep-ultraviolet (DUV) ICT devices such as environmentally-friendly, ultra-compact, and highly-efficient DUV light sources and sensors opening the possibility of technological innovation for life- and social-infrastructure in various fields ranging from ICT, purification of water and air, to medical applications.
