High-performance imaging would play important role to enhance safety and security of public infrastructure including airports, railways, etc. High-resolution radars can be constructed by the use of millimeter-wave where wide radio frequency resource is available. To cover wide ranges, combination of radio and optical technologies would be very useful to distribute and collect radio-wave information. This technique is called Radio-over-Fiber (RoF) technology. This workshop focuses on RoF-based millimeter-wave radar and other related telecommunication technologies, which can be applied to public services, disaster recovery, etc. We hope that the workshop provides an opportunity to share recent technologies in this area and to discuss possible applications.
